The cuboid floats in space.
Swings and bounces in the ropes.
Moves in the wind.
Starts to turn when touched lightly

The kinetic sculpture Inspired by Tensegrity explores the fundamental principles of tension, balance and structural lightness, translating them into a unique artistic form. Starting point is the concept of tensegrity – an interplay of tensile and compressive forces in which stability arises not from solid connections, but from a finely balanced interplay of forces.
In this sculpture, this essentially technical principle is developed into a poetic visual language about equilibrium, change and the hidden order of complex systems.
The sculpture is characterised by a seemingly floating structure in which individual elements stand in a delicate balance with one another. The impression of weightlessness arises from the precise balance of the forces that hold the work together. Despite the metal used and the structural clarity, the form appears open, dynamic and almost immaterial. Movement – generated by interaction or the wind – reveals the fragile stability and demonstrates that balance is not a static state, but an ongoing process.
The work alludes to systems in which opposites do not act destructively, but rather support one another. This creates a metaphorical level that brings to mind interpersonal relationships, social structures or ecological interconnections.
The reflective surfaces and the kinetic quality of the sculpture alter its appearance depending on the viewing angle, light and surroundings. Viewers never experience the work as a static object, but as a changing constellation. This openness invites us to engage with the invisible forces that determine form and movement.
